2025 Maypearl ISD School Funding Election.

Improve salaries for teachers • Maintain small class sizes
Protect student safety programs • Grow college prep & career training

An important message from Superintendent Ritchie Bowling:

“Maypearl ISD has a multi-generational history of developing programs and initiatives that are based on the input and guidance of our community. We believe now, like district leaders before us, in the importance of being transparent with you about how we handle the tax dollars you provide.

Following this direction, the Maypearl ISD Board of Trustees put on the November ballot a School Funding Election, or Voter-Approval Tax Ratification Election (VATRE). This is a commonly used funding option allowed by the Texas Legislature that enables voters to provide their direction on funding local schools in a manner that meets community expectations.

If approved by voters, the School Funding Election would provide the funds to maintain our small class sizes as we continue to grow, grow college prep & career training programs, improve salaries to retain and attract teachers to our classrooms, and enhance student safety and campus crime protection programs.

It should be noted that more than 600 school districts in Texas, including many in our region, have held School Funding Election elections.

I hope you will take a few minutes to review the facts about the School Funding Election on this website so that you can make an informed choice at the ballot box. See you at the polls in November!”
